Shopify commerce practice

A holistic digital team with deep Shopify commerce expertise.

We engineer Shopify and Shopify Plus end to end — storefront and headless, the commerce platform and its integrations, and the data and AI layers now reshaping how buyers find and check out. Built around your business goals, not just the brief.

What’s moving in Shopify

Shopify is no longer just your storefront. It’s becoming your commerce infrastructure.

Across the last few Editions — Shopify’s twice-a-year platform releases — the company has pushed hard on three fronts that change what a services partner has to cover: buyers discovering and buying inside AI agents, a headless toolkit that opens up to any front-end framework, and a B2B and Plus feature set deep enough for enterprise. The work now spans the storefront, the platform, and the systems around them — not the theme alone.

Agentic commerce
Buyers are checking out inside AI agents

Shopify Catalog now syndicates products into ChatGPT, Copilot, and Google’s AI surfaces, with checkout that completes through Shopify. Being included is automatic; being chosen comes down to how complete and accurate your product data is. That’s a data-quality problem before it’s a merchandising one.

Headless, opened up
Hydrogen is now a framework-agnostic toolkit

Shopify’s commerce primitives — the Storefront API client, cart logic, Shop Pay — are no longer tied to one router. They drop into Next.js, Astro, or SvelteKit, hosted on Oxygen. Headless earns its cost in specific cases; the decision is now a real architecture call, not a default.

Enterprise & B2B
Plus has matured into an enterprise platform

Native B2B — PO terms, approval workflows, tiered price lists, company accounts — plus checkout extensibility through Shopify Functions, Shopify Markets for global, and ERP/EDI links. More of the enterprise feature set is native, which changes what’s worth building versus configuring.

None of these three shifts pays off on its own. Agents need clean catalog data; a headless front-end needs the integrations behind it; a B2B rollout needs the terms, tax, and fulfillment logic wired correctly. Connecting those pieces — across the platform and the systems around it — is where the practice does its work.

Across the lifecycle

We support your Shopify platform across its full lifecycle.

Most engagements start at one stage and grow into others. The value of one partner across the whole journey is that the decisions made early — the data model, the architecture, the integrations — are made by the same team that has to run and optimize them later.

01
Select & architect

Platform fit, Plus vs. standard, headless vs. Liquid, and the integration map — driven by your commercial reality, not a template.

02
Build

Storefront and theme or a headless front-end on Oxygen, the checkout and B2B logic in Functions, and the catalog structured to last.

03
Migrate & replatform

Moving onto Shopify or Plus without losing what matters — catalog, customers, order history, URLs, and hard-won search equity.

04
Run

Managed services that keep the store healthy and moving forward — a team that plans the store’s next moves rather than only reacting to tickets.

05
Optimize

Conversion, merchandising, and performance — testing, Core Web Vitals, and catalog changes tied to the numbers you actually track.

06
Personalize & activate AI

First-party data into personalization, agent-ready catalog data, and Shopify’s own AI and automation tools — Sidekick and Flow — put to work where the payoff is real.

What we cover

The full Shopify surface — storefront to agentic checkout.

Not every engagement touches all of it. But when the work crosses from the storefront into the platform, the integrations, or the data behind them, the same team carries it — here’s the ground we cover.

Where we focus

Two places we do our most valuable work.

We work across all of it, but two kinds of work tend to move the needle most for teams on Shopify right now — getting ready for agentic commerce, and deciding whether headless is worth it, then doing it well.

Play one
Getting ready for agentic commerce

AI-driven traffic to Shopify stores has grown sharply, and inclusion in Shopify Catalog is automatic — so the advantage isn’t being present, it’s being chosen. That comes down to catalog data that’s complete, accurate, and readable to agents, and to the fulfillment and inventory signals behind it being reliable in real time.

We treat this as a data and operations problem, not a storefront one: structuring product data to the signals those AI surfaces reward, wiring inventory and shipping estimates so they hold up, and standing up Storefront MCP and agentic checkout for clients who need to compete in that channel.

Play two
Headless & performance, decided honestly

Headless carries real cost and real payoff, and the two don’t always line up. We help you make the call up front — unique brand experience, multi-channel storefronts, and enterprise-scale traffic are where it earns its keep, and a well-built Liquid theme is often enough where it doesn’t.

When headless is the right move, we build on the new framework-agnostic Hydrogen toolkit — Storefront API, cart, and Shop Pay dropped into the front-end that fits your team, hosted on Oxygen, and tuned for the Core Web Vitals that convert.

How we deliver

A senior, cross-functional pod — one team across the whole stack.

Because the work spans storefront, platform, integrations, and data, so does the team. You get one pod that carries a piece of work from architecture through activation, without handoffs falling through the gaps between vendors.

A named Pod Leader

One person owns your commitments and outcomes end to end — the point of contact who stays accountable for what ships.

Cross-functional by design

Storefront, platform, integration, and data engineers on one team, so the seams between them are covered rather than negotiated across vendors.

Engagement models that flex

Cross-functional pods, skill augmentation, monthly retainers, or blocks of hours — matched to the work and reshaped as it changes, without renegotiating the engagement.

Senior talent, within reach

A global delivery model keeps experienced people on the work, so the depth is there when an architecture or integration decision needs it.

Measured by outcomes

We plan around where the work is heading and hold ourselves to the results it produces — conversion, stability, time to market — rather than tickets closed.

Built to hand back

We document as we go and enable your team on the platform, so you own what we build and aren’t dependent on us to run it.

Outcomes

Delivery you can measure.

Why cxontology

Deep on Shopify, aware of everything around it.

Shopify is where a lot of our commerce work lands, but it’s rarely the whole picture. We engineer the storefront with an eye on everything around it — the ERP and OMS, the analytics and CRM, the marketing stack, and the systems your commerce actually depends on.

We hold your objectives as our own

Consultants who speak both engineering and business, tying platform decisions to what the company is trying to do — revenue, margin, time to market — not just to what the ticket says.

End to end, in your context

From storefront to fulfillment integration to agentic checkout, with awareness of the broader ecosystem the store lives in — so the pieces fit the way your business runs.

Senior people, accountable

The people who scope your work are the people who do it. Depth is on the engagement, not a layer removed from it.

In brief: a cross-functional team that engineers Shopify and Shopify Plus across storefront, platform, integrations, and data — and delivers it as one piece of work, owned end to end.
